Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from general contractors, IT teams, and facility operators scoping a low voltage project.
What areas do you serve?
Cable Force serves commercial clients across Ontario — from the GTA through to Ottawa, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Hamilton. For multi-site rollouts, we coordinate work across all locations as a single project.
Do you work on residential projects?
No. Cable Force is a commercial-only contractor. We focus exclusively on offices, retail locations, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Cable Force carries full commercial general liability and WSIB coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on request prior to project start.
How do I get a quote?
Send us the project details through the contact form or by email — site location, scope, timeline, and any incumbent systems. We’ll follow up to set up a site survey and a written proposal.
How long does a typical project take?
Project timelines vary depending on scope. A start date and completion date are confirmed in your formal proposal before work begins. We do not start a project without a committed timeline.
Do you work after hours or on weekends?
Yes. After-hours and weekend work is available on request and is common for retail, occupied office, and 24/7 facility projects. After-hours work is quoted separately.
What happens if the scope changes mid-project?
If the scope changes during installation we stop, document the change, price it, and proceed only after you have approved the change in writing. There are no surprise charges on the final invoice.
What cabling standards do you work to?
Every Cable Force installation is completed to TIA-568 commercial cabling standards. Every copper run passes certification and every fiber run is OTDR tested.
Do you supply hardware or do I need to source it myself?
Either works. We can supply hardware at distributor pricing as part of the project, or we can install hardware you have already procured. We will advise on the best approach based on your project scope and budget.
What documentation do you provide on completion?
Every project closes out with a full closeout package: as-built drawings, cable certification reports, labelled racks and jacks, port schedules, site photos, and manufacturer warranty documentation. Specifics vary by service — see the individual service pages for what’s included on each.
Are you compatible with my existing hardware or platform?
In most cases, yes. We work with your specified platform and hardware on cameras, access control, alarms, AV, and VoIP installations — or we’ll recommend an option based on your environment if you’d prefer. Send us what you’re currently running and we’ll confirm before quoting.
Do you offer maintenance or service contracts?
Yes. We offer ongoing service and maintenance for systems we’ve installed — and in many cases for systems installed by other contractors. Scope and pricing depend on the systems involved and the level of coverage you need. Get in touch with the site details and we’ll put together a proposal.
What warranty do you provide?
Cable Force warrants all installation work performed by our team. Hardware warranty is provided by the manufacturer and varies by product. Warranty details for both are included in your formal proposal and handover documentation.
